Birds (lat. Aves):

Birds are warm-blooded animals and removed relatives of the reptiles although they do not seem so. They have two wings which are based of feather. These feathers like all other bones of the birds have sacs and hollows in it, so the skeleton of these animals are very light in comparison to there muscles and the rest of the Body. The light body is a condition for their faculty to fly, but there are some birds which can not fly, e.g. the Emu. More features of birds are their toothless bill and their lower limbs, that have three claws at the front and two at the back. There are over 9,200 species of birds known from around the world and they can be found in just about every habitat. In Australia there are 770 species of birds that have been identified as well as some extras that have arrived here by accident.
